Young pianists age 6 to 18 from across Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Greater Manchester are invited to compete in the 2018 S. Anselm's Piano Competition.
|16 Jan 2018|
S. Anselm's is inviting young pianists from across the North and Midlands to enter our 2018 S. Anselm’s Piano Competition which takes place on Saturday 24th February.
We will be joined by two outstanding guest adjudicators this year, Ben Andrews and Alec Hone from Stowe and Oundle Schools respectively – both eminent national pianists – who will give their time to advise and encourage each competitor. It promises to be an excellent and inspiring experience for young pianists, not to mention excellent preparation for any forthcoming music examinations. Classes are available for beginners aged 6 and above (Prep level) right through to Grade 8, and the day culminates in a finalists’ concert in the afternoon, which is always a wonderful event, to which competitors' families, Old Anselmians and guests are very welcome.
For those interested in entering - or who know anyone who might like to enter - full details and entry forms are available at www.sanselms.co.uk/piano.
The winnners of each competition class are invited to compete in the Finalists' Concert which takes place in the school's Hargreaves Hall at 2.00pm. Old Anselmians who would like to attend the Finalists' Concert are asked to register their attendance by emailing: email@example.com.
